How does the virtual option work?
First, you contact me through email, phone, the website Contact page or through the Schedule Appointment page to schedule an initial free consultation via phone or conference call (or through other media) to establish what services you may desire and the fees and costs involved. You may also complete the appropriate Estate Planning Questionnaire found below and either mail or scan and email it to me before our meeting, which saves us both time. We will also discuss whether a retainer is needed, usually 50% of the attorney fees. Before emailing the questionnaire, please contact us and we will send you a secure link to use in sending us the questionnaire or other important documents.
NOTE: You do not need to totally complete the Estate Planning Questionnaire. Just do the best you can. Although we practice complete confidentiality at Koblitz Law Office, LLC, we also understand and respect that you may desire to keep certain information private. If you prefer, we can complete the questionnaire during our meeting, whichever works best for you!
What happens next?
After our initial meeting explaining my representation and costs involved, we schedule a second appointment discussing the Estate Planning Questionnaire found below. As mentioned above, we may discuss this in the first step if you already have it completed. If more information is needed, we schedule another meeting or you can communicate this information to me through previously established methods (I.e. protected email, videoconferencing, phone call, etc…).
Final Step.
I draft the documents and send them to you for review. If no changes are needed, I send them to you with specific instructions as to how they should be signed and any other procedures necessary (I.e. possibly sign in front of a notary). You can pay me through check or with a credit card online. That’s it. Follow up with me with any questions.
